On today’s bombastic, snarkilicious debut of the Pop Confidential podcast Jamey, Luke, Jillian and Regan discuss the latest in celebrity dish, TV dirt, movie news and gossip, including, but not limited to:
Their favorite memories of Golden Girls' star Rue McClanahan. Gossip Girl’s Chase Crawford being busted for having a little dubbage in Texas. Twilight's Kristen Stewart coming under fire for comparing showing Paparazzi pics of her to publishing snapshots of a woman being raped. America's Best Girl, Sandra Bullock making her first public appearance at Spike TV’s Guy’s Choice Awards and Elton John performing at Rush Limbaugh’s Wedding.
The gang also riffs on Rihanna's new 'do, the Speidi split/publicity stunt, the modern day rap feud between Nicki Minaj and Lil Kim, the Lost series finale, Sex and the City 2, the possible last season of Brothers & Sisters and of course, all things Glee. On a related note, Nicki Minaj is so this generation's Lil' Kim. Hopefully she won't go down the path Kim did w/the jail stint and the horrific ruining of a beautiful face.

Nicki Minaj is what Lil Kim was over a decade----and a few facelifts--- ago!!!!!!!! If she were a fashion trend, she would be "belly shirts"!!!!!!!!!!! As far as Rihanna goes, it's sad when the most interesting thing about an artist is his/her hair. Just sayin...
I am tired of hearing about Sandra Bullock. I feel sorry for her that she actually believed that Jesse James was something other than white trash, but I could see (and smell!!!!!!!!!!) this coming from a mile away!!!!! Garbage doesn't change. Even when you manage to find a way to get rid of the odor, it's still rancid and dirty.
Chace Crawford.....fire him from "Gossip Girl." He's a horrible excuse for an actor, and is only managing to survive based on his good looks. He has contribute nothing to the show but his wooden performances. I am soooooo over him.
Kristen Stewart needs to retire. She's overrated and disgusting. She looks like she hasn't bathed in about TWENTY years in EVERY photo I see of her!!!!!!! What is this chick's appeal??? Don't get it!!!
Oh, and by the way..........Jamey, Luke, Jillian and Regan, congrats. I look forward to expanding my brand of humor and branching out to this new site.

Great job at hosting, Jamey! I have to admit I don't watch much reality tv and only look at gossip sites occasionly but I still really enjoyeed it.
It sounds like Kristen Stewart it is probably uneducated when it comes to rape. It still dosesn't excuse what she said though. I hope she gets more educated from this experience.
Elton John singing at Rush Limbaugh's anniversary? That's just plain wrong. Even if his wife is a Liberal, Elton's got to be a little upset about Rush's politics, doesn't he? After all, he's already a millonare, he doesn't need that money!
Jamey, you depressed me with the news about B&S! I'm a huge Kevin and Kitty fan, but if neithier of them will be doing much next season than Sarah & Luc are their money couple! I really hope it's not the last year and the jump to the future idea is not cool, just because DH did it.

OMG! How great is Friday Night Lights. I hate that I missed all those seasons. I just started in the middle of last season.
When Matt looked at his father's casket and all the emotion you saw in his face and eyes just summed it up. Perfection. I feel sorry for that girl (forgot her name) when she's going to walk in that trailer and see Tim with his ex. Poor girl.
And Vince at that breakfast. He didn't know what to say but he was able to bond with those kids better than that jerk. I love how all those kids get up and slap his hand and the smile on his face.
Julia is the best character on Parenthood, just to put that out there.

On the next Pop Confidential, can y'all talk about how horrible it is that Sarah Drew has been put on contract. That annoying doctor who had the crush on Derek and who acted like an annoying fool during the finale.
Shia was right to talk about how horrible that Indy movie was. Also Shia hasn't called anyone Hitler or dissed other actors like Megan has.

I knew a Lil Kim/Nicki MInaj thing was coming. That is becoming standard in the hip hop world. These kids come along and act like they are breaking boundaries when they are just walking through doors that someone else opened. Nicki should respect that she is nothing but a new Lil Kim. Many of the raunchy female rappers are accepted because of her. Salt N Pepa were sexual at times and socially relevant...but Kim was raunchy. Respect history people.
I agree about B&S...and I never realized it until Jamey said it. It was all about Kitty and Robert. I still loved it, but it was one note and will now suffer for it.
Tyler Perry...you know...his business model is based upon hiring cheap actors. That is the only way that he can fully fund his movies and still make a profit. I would be shocked if I ever saw a mainstream actor in a TP flick. Really. Unless the next article shows said actor taking a huge paycut to be in the film. TP makes his living off of actors that couldn't get a job elsewhere.
RHONJ and RHONY....are GREAT shows! Not really great, just addicting. I am not a Danielle fan (NJ), nor am I a Kelly fan (NY). They are both really nuts.

I love Sarah Drew! She may not have had muvh to do on GA, but she's been on lots of other shows. She's voiced Stacey on Daria, played Hannah on Everwood and April Pepper on Glee.

Great podcast. However, one completely disagree with one point on Elton singing at Rush's wedding. I don't get the uproar over this.
1. Elton is a musician who sells his art for money. IT'S A GIG!
2. Rush Limbaugh actually supports civil unions and gay marriage is not that big of an issue with him. This is written in An Army of One , the semi-autobiography of Rush written by Zev Chavets of The New York Times .
3. Elton has a reputation for surprises (i.e. performing with Eminem at the Grammys).
I think we should look at these type of instances with more intellectual honesty and fairness instead of being so reactionary and letting our own respective political biases and stereotypes prevent us from seeing things with more clarity.

Good extension to the podcasts...
Regarding the paparazzi, I am divided. I agree that when you are a celebrity you sign on for a certain level of invasion of privacy and that even for your career you need it. However,many celebs have been able to go far without being constantly in pictures some I think there is a difference between some celebs who activitely seek or stir up the additional extra attention and others who don't.
