Should Season 8 Be One Tree Hill's Last?

One Tree Hill showrunner Mark Schwahn gave a preview of the long running sudser's eigth season to Zap2it. Apparently The CW has yet to pick the show up for a full order of 22 episodes, and Schwahn and his team are working with the 13 episodes that were ordered.

When asked if this was the last season, Schwahn had this to say:

Right now, my instinct says yes, but anything can happen. We still love making this show, and if the network wants us back, we'll keep going."

While I was a HUGE One Tree Hill fan for its first couple of seasons. I started watching sporadically after good guy Keith (Craig Sheffer, brother of Y&R co-head scribe Hogan Sheffer) was killed by that awful Dan (Paul Johansson, who played C.C. Capwell's bastard son Greg on Santa Barbara!). Then the show TOTALLY jumped the shark when they had that dog eat the heart Dan was waiting on at the hospital for a transplant!  However, with the show possibly drawing to a close, I think I will start watching again when the new season premieres on Sept 14. I need time to say a proper fairwell to one of my favorite primetime teen soap couples of all time— Nathan (James Lafferty) and Haley (Guiding Light alum Bethany Joy Galeotti). So what do you guys think?

Is it time for One Tree Hill to go to that Great Teen Soap Museum in the Sky?

Here we go again. According to the New York Post, executives for The Wendy Williams Show have asked the  hostess to be less "How you doin'?" and more apple pie and bridge club, in order to appeal to "middle America moms". While a show rep denied the claim to the Post, the newspaper maintains a Wendy producer was dumped and the hair and makeup team was asked to tone down Wendy's look, while the media queen has been reportedly asked to change her tone. Bradley Cooper and Ryan Reynolds to Star in Action Film

In a triumph of casting, two of Hollywood's best-looking men–Ryan Reynolds and Bradley Cooper–will star costar in an upcoming action/comedy film. This means the untitled film will have something for guys, girls, gay guys and DILF-lovers. According to The Hollywood Reporter:

The busy actors are attached to star in an untitled original action-comedy written by Sheldon Turner (“Up in the Air”), who snagged north of seven figures for the gig. The story follows two friends, who are also San Francisco cops, whose fathers were once partners on the police force. The older generation is forced out of retirement to help their sons crack a case, with typically antagonistic results.

The actioner is meant to have an updated “Lethal Weapon” flavor that plays into edgier R-rated territory.

No word yet on how Vin Diesel feels about being edged out of the territory he once occupied.  READ MORE

Big Brother 13 Recap: Fast Forward

In honor of the Fast Forward episode, let’s get this out of the way: Poor Britney opened Pandora’s Box and JESSIE (Season 10/Season 11) popped out, marking the first time Jessie has ever been inside a woman’s box.

Brenda shaved his hair and dunked himself in green chum to win POV, the net result being that I thought Shrek was in the house. To that end, Matt played Donkey by NOT exposing the Brigade (who were trying to evict him) and instead sold out best bud Ragan (who was loyal to him), which culminated in Matt appearing untrustworthy, thereby giving the Brigade its reason to evict him. Oh the irony, it’s like rain on your wedding day, or in Matt and Ragan’s case: rain on your commitment ceremony.
